Head of Marketing & Member of the Executive Board

Angela

"It is a matter close to my heart to continuously develop the hotel to create a place of strength where everyone feels welcome and valued."

Angela has been part of the management team since October 2013. Having grown up in Gersau, she has felt a deep connection to Mount Rigi since childhood. After studying tourism, it was clear to her that she wanted to work where others go on vacation - in the heart of her home region. In her free time, she loves to be outdoors - whether hiking in the mountains or on the shores of Lake Lucerne.

She has been in charge of Reception since October 2024 and is looking forward to all the encounters and stories of our guests that await her on Mount Rigi.

Daniel

"I look forward to serving you fine cocktails!"

Our barman Daniel has been with us at the Hotel Rigi Kaltbad since 2021. Daniel was born in Lisbon and worked in the Azores for several years. He appreciates the quality of life on Mount Rigi and enjoys the beautiful view from his bar every day. In his free time, he enjoys fine dining and testing out new bars to gather offers and inspiration.

All-rounder

Joaquim

"There is (almost) nothing I can't do."

Joaquim is our man for all occasions. He trained as a carpenter with his father in Portugal, which is very useful to him today in his daily work. As he managed the two-year renovation almost single-handedly, he now knows every screw and every cable. His wife Maria got him hooked on Mount Rigi in 2000 and he has been hooked ever since.
